The MRO Buyer manages procurement activities across various departments, ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and compliance with quality standards and procurement policies. This role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, customers, and external suppliers, as well as a proactive approach to continuous improvement and cost savings.<br><br><strong>Primary Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><strong>Procurement Planning<br><br></strong><ul><li> Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Logistics, to understand procurement requirements, specifications, inventory needs, and priorities. Ensure planning covers MRO materials and office supplies needs.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Order Management<br><br></strong><ul><li> Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues, delays, or supply risks.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Supplier Management<br><br></strong><ul><li> Monitor and manage supplier performance, including delivery performance, quality and responsiveness, and compliance with contractual obligations.</li><li> Conduct regular supplier reviews and evaluations.</li><li> Seek opportunities for supplier development, improved commercial terms, and long-term supplier relationships.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Record-Keeping<br><br></strong><ul><li> Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, trackers, and supplier information, according to company policies and procedures.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Inventory Management<br><br></strong><ul><li> Collaborate with the planning and relevant internal teams to support adequate inventory levels, considering lead times, operational requirements, and production needs.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Cost Optimization<br><br></strong><ul><li> Identify and implement cost-saving measures, sourcing opportunities, and process improvements.</li><li> Explore opportunities for supplier consolidation, improved commercial terms, and long-term agreements.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Reporting<br><br></strong><ul><li> Generate reports and analyses on procurement activities, supplier performance, purchasing performance, and cost-saving initiatives.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Continuous Improvement & Collaboration<br><br></strong><ul><li> Proactively identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, lead times, supplier performance, and overall efficiency.</li><li> Support and participate in Continuous Improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives.</li><li> Support other procurement categories and team members when needed.<br><br></li></ul>Requirements:<br><br><strong>Skills And Competencies<br><br></strong><ul><li> Min. 5 years of proven experience as an MRO buyer.</li><li> In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.</li><li> Proven team player with a collaborative approach and willingness to support others.</li><li> Strong negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.</li><li> Proficiency in using procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.</li><li> Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li> Ability to work independently, take ownership, and effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and demanding environment.</li><li> Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues, raise risks early, and drive improvements.</li><li> High-level proficiency in English, including communication with international suppliers and stakeholders.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Experience & Qualification:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Bachelorâs degree in mechanical engineering and/or Supply Chain Management.</li><li> Practical experience in MRO procurement.</li><li> Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.</li><li> Experience in a global or multinational organization is an advantage.</li><li> Experience in pharmaceutical, automotive, engineering, manufacturing, or import/export industries is an advantage.</li></ul><br/><br/>Please mention the word **POSITIVES** and tag RMTAzLjU5Ljc1LjE5OA== when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMTAzLjU5Ljc1LjE5OA==).
