<h3>Minimum qualifications:</h3><ul> <li>Bachelor in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.</li> <li>8 years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and final assembly process development and sustaining.</li> <li>Experience with industry manufacturing inspection and testing procedures.</li> <li>Experience setting up SPC, CP and CPK monitoring, and with statistical analysis tools.</li> <li>Experience working with CAD tools (e.g., Valor, AutoCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Gerber tools).</li> </ul><h3>Preferred qualifications:</h3><ul> <li>Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.</li> <li>Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.</li> <li>Experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, driving product launches, and assembling process optimization within manufacturing operations.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple complex projects within ambiguous environments.</li> </ul><h3>About the job</h3><br><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Define, develop, qualify, optimize, and own the end-to-end manufacturing processes at Contract Manufacturer<b> </b>(CM) sites for products in mass production within your area of focus.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, cycle time, First Pass Yield (FPY), and reduce costs.</li> <li>Serve as the primary technical engineering liaison between Google and assigned CMs and suppliers for products in production.</li> <li>Lead the introduction and qualification of products and components at second source CM sites and suppliers to ensure supply chain resilience and capacity flexibility.</li> <li>Establish the requirements for and oversee the implementation and maintenance of assembly fixtures, tooling, and automation solutions.</li> </ul>
