Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, Global Manufacturing Operations

<h3>Minimum qualifications:</h3><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.</li> <li>8 years of experience in mechanical sustaining engineering.</li> <li>Experience in working with suppliers via product life cycle (PLC) engagement models (e.g., agreement manufacturer, joint design manufacturing model (JDM), and original device manufacturer (ODM)).</li> <li>Experience with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, injection molding.</li> <li>Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) for mechanical tolerance analysis.</li> </ul><h3>Preferred qualifications:</h3><ul> <li>Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.<br></li> <li>Experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, driving product launches and assembly process optimization within manufacturing operations.<br></li> <li>Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues and drive process improvements.</li> <li>Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.<br></li> <li>Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.</li> </ul><h3>About the job</h3><div><div>Be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering, Supply Quality Engineering, Program Managers and Global Commodity Manager.</li> <li>Lead product qualifications from mechanical parts and assemblies to L11 rack integration at agreement manufacturing partners. Drive the coot cause correction action (RCCA) investigations to resolve manufacturing and system assembly issues.</li> <li>Audit suppliers, and influence sourcing strategy by providing technical feedback to the commodity management team. Lead mechanical part suppliers to improve the manufacturing yield, efficiency and throughput.</li> <li>Analyze product system assembly needs, influence mechanical designs changes, and identify solutions to problems.</li> <li>Lead manufacturing process design, optimization, and qualification. Be responsible for the mechanical parts qualification and factory physical capacity increase to build up a supply chain resilience.</li> </ul>
