Data Center Mechanical Engineer

<h3>Minimum qualifications:</h3><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.<br></li> <li>3 years of experience managing construction projects within an international working environment.</li> <li>Experience with facility HVAC, mechanical systems. <br></li> </ul><h3>Preferred qualifications:</h3><ul> <li>Experience working with data center equipment and environments (e.g., switchgear, generators, transformers, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems), with an understanding of start up/commissioning processes.</li> <li>Experience managing vendor relationships, with an understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry.</li> <li>Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.</li> <li>Excellent skills in requirement gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, problem-solving, and achieving goals.</li> </ul><h3>About the job</h3><p>Our thirst for technology is a part of everything we do. You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.<br><br>With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical).</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Drive project mechanical outcomes of high complexity and provide technical leadership as a key contributor, integrating feedback from multiple stakeholders, when necessary.</li> <li>Help define and determine the best approach to solving identified problems with limited precedent by developing new processes, procedures, methods, tests, and components.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and commission advanced mechanical system events, escalate only the most complex issues, as appropriate.</li> <li>Contribute to the development of cross-project, cross-functional, and cross-organizational procedures and ensure alignment of the Mechanical Engineers' work with the work of multiple teams/projects.</li> <li>Contribute to and review the Quality and Commissioning Plans for the electrical discipline. Support electrically relevant Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and all off and on-site commissioning. Participate in selection and onboarding of vendors.</li> </ul>
